Since September 2004 the musicians of the jazz octet Oktoposse, one of the most vivid improvising bands of the Cologne scene, meet renowned musician`s musicians for having "musical bits on the sides" once a month at the Cologne jazz joint "Stadtgarten": soloists, composers and artists with whom they perform a specifically conceived single concert. Not being afraid of different styles Oktoposse is looking for the appeal of musical confrontation. The exciting and tasteful document of this enterprise features compositions of musicians as Nils Wogram, Stephan Scheuss, Georg Ruby, WDR award winners Florian Ross and Claudio Puntin and others.
