Lisa Ströckens und Stephan Goldbach refer with their project "LouLou und die Heerscharen der Verfluchten" to compositions of, e.g., Björk, Alban Berg, Theo Mackeben, Henry Purcell and Tom Waits. The duo as ensemble successfully unites all this material in a way that even compositions totally divided by centuries still reveal their original character, yet, in addition, letting the structure-changing improvising gesture of the two musicians renew the outcome again and again. It is thus an outcome that brings a second, newly structured version – brought to being by improvisation – to the outstanding original version and with that an additional, dense and high-impact suspense level.
